FAQ

What do we need to bring and what is provided?

Nappies, wipes, light snacks, tea, coffee and water will be provided in your time with us in studio. The studio is also warm for your baby's comfort. We request you to bring your baby's hairbrush, dress them in something easy to unwrap (like a zippy or something that does not go over the head) extra bottles of formula/milk (if applicable) and a dummy.

Do we receive all the images from the session?

You will have a beautiful gallery of images to choose your favourites from. There are a set amount included in your collection but there is no limit to purchasing additional images that you wish to add to your final gallery. I believe in giving you images in their perfectly finished form so I will carefully go through to select only the best images from your session for you to choose from and then hand edit every chosen image individually.

Why is it best to photograph our newborn in the first two weeks?

This is when your newborn is still curly and in those squishy natural poses from being in the womb. After this time they like to stretch out and become more alert and aware of their surroundings. This doesn't mean we cannot photograph your newborn after two weeks, we may just need to be prepared for more wrapped, awake images and less of those squishy poses.

Your photographer's experience

When choosing me to photograph your baby, you can have peave of mind that your baby will be treated gently and with the utmost care. I have experience and training specific to newborn photography. It is important to know how to safely position babies into poses and provide a safe, comfortable environment for your newborn. My vaccinations are up to date and I also hold a current infant first aid certificate and newborn safety certificate.

What should we wear?

I recommend wearing something that makes you feel good and comfortable. Think simple - no bold patterns or logos on clothing. And, since we often focus on intimate shots of the top half of your body, bare feet or simple footwear will do just fine. You will receive a helpful prep guide before your session!

Can siblings attend?

Absolutely! I love to capture the new bond between siblings. I do understand though that younger children, & toddlers may not always participate & do become restless in a studio environment so we will discuss a plan of action for your family in advance.
