A cake smash session is a beautiful way to celebrate this moment — not just the milestone, but the joy, the mess, and everything in between.
You don’t need to worry about how your baby will react.

Every session is completely child-led, with no pressure for a “perfect” outcome.
The best images always come from letting your little one be themselves.
Your session is designed to feel simple, relaxed, and fully taken care of.
We begin with a beautifully styled portrait setup, capturing your baby’s expressions and all those sweet little details before introducing the cake.
From there, your little one is free to explore, play, and enjoy the moment — followed by a gentle splash bath to finish, creating some of the most joyful (and practical!) images of the session.
Your session includes:
• Flexible booking time around your baby's nap schedule
• A smash preparation guide to help you and your baby feel fully prepared
• A grand, signature balloon garland in your chosen colours, designed with high-quality, luxe balloons
• A separate, beautifully styled portrait setup focused on natural expressions and detail
• A relaxed cake smash experience, led entirely by your baby
• A playful splash bath to finish
• A list of trusted local bakers for your cake
• Family photos at the beginning of your session (siblings are then required to depart for the smash portion of the session, roughly 30 to 40 minutes)
Everything is thoughtfully guided so your experience feels effortless from start to finish.
(If you’re dreaming of elaborate themes or licensed character sessions, I may not be the right fit — and that's ok. My work is designed for families who want more baby focused, timeless portraits.)
Cake smash sessions are best booked a few months ahead of your baby’s first birthday.
Sessions are typically held around 10–11 months, so your images are ready in time to celebrate their big day or closer to their big day as a celebration!

Session booking fee
A non-refundable fee of $150 secures your place in my calendar and includes the pre-session planning, styling, set-up of your session and everything that goes into creating a professional and relaxing experience for you.
Digital image and artwork collections are not included in this fee but are selected at the time of booking.
